Every Day Is an Opportunity to Learn, Participate and Grow
A structured daily routine can provide stability and meaningful engagement for adults with intellectual disabilities.
At KANAV, everyday life includes a combination of personal care, meals, learning, vocational activities, recreation, outdoor engagement and social interaction.
The purpose of a routine is not simply to keep residents occupied. It is to create opportunities for participation and gradually develop everyday abilities.
From Morning Routines to Meaningful Activities
Residents can participate in activities according to their abilities and needs. These may include personal hygiene, dressing, eating, organizing belongings, household activities and communication.
The day can then include vocational and recreational activities such as candle making, paper-bag making, greeting cards, creative activities, walking, yoga, games and outdoor engagement.
Small Steps Matter
Completing a familiar task, participating in a group activity or trying something new can represent an important step in an individual’s development.
At KANAV, we believe that meaningful living is created through these everyday opportunities. uplifting women—we are strengthening families, communities, and the entire rural economy.
